Medical Gr. Tantalum Spheres

x-medics offer a wide range of medical grade tantalum spheres. The spheres offer good radiographic opacity and excellent bio compatibility. They are suitable as orthopedic markers and target spheres as they are characterized by a good sphericity and a well-defined diameter. The spheres have adequate mechanical properties to withstand the impact of insertion. Tantalum spheres, tantalum balls and tantalum beads are synonyms for identical products.

Embedded particles in the sphere surface are known to be a problem when fabricating tantalum spheres. All production batches therefore undergo quality testing at independent laboratories to validate that the spheres are free of embedded particles. The results of these tests together with the analysis of the material composition and the results of the physical measurements are documented in a 3.1B certificate that follows every shipment. The traceability of the test results is ensured by our ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified quality management systems that routinely are audited by BUREAU VERITAS.

Spheres with a diameter between 0.8 to 1.0 mm are available for instant shipping from stock. The spheres are offered in 500 pcs packaging for convenient handling and storage in production.
